COURSE LOCATION – IGYM DOWNHILL SUNDERLAND
We are excited to deliver our Fitness Industry College programme to learners aged sixteen to nineteen from the fantastic iGym facility in Downhill, Sunderland.
As part of our post sixteen health and fitness education programme, learners can study towards a core qualification (NCFE Level 2 certificate in Sport, Exercise and Fitness or an Extended Level 3 Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science), while gaining the skills and experiences of the health, fitness and sport industry through weekly enrichment hours, delivered by industry professionals.
As part of a recent £18 million three hub investment project across Wearside to enhance the health, fitness and sport opportunities for local communities, the state of the art facilities is the perfect opportunity to study, learn and train, providing the environment to truly get your future career into shape!

ATTEND OUR NEXT OPEN EVENT
As part of our application process we invite prospects to attend one of our many ‘Open Events’ or ‘Expereince Sessions’ planned throughout the year. These sessions are designed for you to come along, meet the team of tutors and industry professionals, find out all about the courses on offer, the enrichment and the pathways and future careers available.
These events also provide the opportunity to have an informal one-to-one meeting with one of our staff which will hopefully lead to you be presented with a conditional offer to join the Fitness Industry College for the next academic year.
All experience sessions and open events are currently run inline with government COVID-19 guidelines and those set out by the facility to ensure yours and others safety.
